Sports Massage Therapy is highly beneficial for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. The treatments utilise deeper, more invigorating techniques to increase circulation, promote the breakdown of damaged tissue, stimulate muscle repair and realign the muscle fascia.

Sports Massage is very effective at reducing muscle tension throughout the body, relieving muscular pain, and preventing the risk of injury by keeping the muscles flexible. Regular massage will leave the muscles in excellent condition, free of lesions and trigger points helping to improve daily function and sports performance.

Sports Massage Therapy is available at the Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic, with one of our highly trained therapists. You can book a one-off sports massage, buy a block of sports massages (at a discounted rate) or you can sign up to a sports massage subscription and have a sports massage every month!

Do you suffer from:

Plantar Fasciitis
Achilles Tendinopathy
Tennis Elbow
Golfers Elbow
Patella Tendinopathy
Or any other tendon injury?
Shockwave therapy is the only research proven electrotherapy to be effective.

The Wave: The ‘shockwave’ is a pulse generated by compressed air which is converted into acoustic energy. The acoustic pulses are then transmitted via a dispersive wave into the tissue of the affected area.

Within therapeutic use, the wave is generated via a pneumatic system, resulting in the production of a radial (dispersive) wave. This differs from the Focussed waves which are used in Surgical Interventions and given their destructive nature are not appropriate for therapeutic use.
