Gareth qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2012 from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He has 10 years of private practice experience dealing with musculoskeletal issues and sports injuries.
His post grad studies included OMT (Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy), which is the evidence-based biopsychosocial management of patients with neuro-musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.
Gareth was previously the Head Physio for a South African premier league football team, Golden Arrows FC. He also gained experience working with provincial cricket as well as school boy provincial rugby teams.
Gareth is trained in Shockwave Therapy here at Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic, a cutting-edge treatment for persistent tendon problems. He has completed dry needling courses and is a BASI qualified Pilates mat-work teacher.
Gareth has gained further knowledge through courses based on shoulder injuries and pathologies, ACL injuries, and the sporting hip.
Gareth has a passion for all sports, fitness and rehabilitation. He enjoys running and marathon training. Gareth is planning to beat his PB marathon time of 2:57 hrs.

Rosie qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2013 having completed a degree in Sports Science at Oxford Brookes University followed by a Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Essex.
Since qualifying she has worked in the NHS, private sector and at major sporting events, gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Rosie is a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist having helped hundreds of women in their pregnancy and postnatally. She has a particular interest in helping women feel confident in returning to exercise and movement post birth without the presence of pelvic floor dysfunction. She feels that physiotherapy should be a standardized service for women during this time in their lives.
Rosie is a trained and very experienced Mummy MOT practitioner and offers this appointment and the Pregnancy MOT appointment in clinic. She has also trained and become certified as an APPI mat-work and reformer Pilates instructor as well as a Yoga Alliance 200YTTC instructor and applies both movement techniques and principles to her practice.
She is very competent at helping women during their pregnancy too, to settle any aches and pains and maintain a level of function and exercise during their pregnancy. She loves seeing people using exercise to help improve their physical and mental well-being.
Rosie also offers a Menopause MOT to support, inform and guide women through this chapter of their lives.
Rosie is trained to fit Pessaries for women experiencing symptoms of prolapse.
Rosie has an avid interest in a variety of sports; land and water based. You’ll often catch her swimming at Henleaze lake – even through the winter, trying to improve her surfing skills at The Wave, sailing in Devon, skiing in the alps, walking and practicing yoga when she gets the chance too!

Helen graduated with a first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Kings College, London in 1995 and moved to Bristol to start her career at The Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Following a year setting up physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in a rural region of Uganda in 1998, Helen returned to Bristol where she has continued to work in senior, management and teaching roles as a physiotherapist both in the NHS and the private sector ever since. Throughout this time she has gained significant experience and skills in a broad range of specialties.
Helen joined the Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic in October 2008. In keeping with the ethos of this clinic, which encourages ongoing learning to improve patient care, Helen gained membership of the manipulative association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) and a masters degree in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She is also a fully qualified Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.
Helen has a special interest in treating women with pregnancy related back and pelvic pain and has completed research investigating the effectiveness of treatment for this group of patients.
Helen also has a love of treating complex, chronic pain and helping clients to find ways to set realistic goals and regain confidence in movement. Other areas of special interest include assessing and treating symptoms of dizziness, the rehabilitation of knee injuries and the treatment of back and neck pain, often incorporating her Pilates knowledge to offer longer term self management for patients.
Away from work, she is mum to two older teenagers and a crazy dog! She loves travelling and spending time in the outdoors camping, swimming, surfing, skiing, walking the dog, playing netball and having fun with friends and family. She hopes to walk the South West coastal path soon and return to Scotland to climb some more Munros.

Lesley graduated from the University of Bradford in 2003 and has since worked in some of the largest teaching hospitals in the country in Hull and London, working alongside nationally and globally recognised physiotherapists and consultants.
Lesley has more than fifteen years’ experience in treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and has continued her professional development completing Pilates qualifications with the APPI, courses run by the Neuro-Orthopaedic Institute in the management of persistent pain and gaining PINC certification as a cancer rehab specialist.

Having won three gold medals playing Table Tennis for England, Gemma understands the demands of competitive sports and uses this insight to tailor treatment plans for athletes and active individuals.

She has worked in multiple senior roles at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. She has lead their Older Person’s Unit and has an array of rehabilitation experience specific to older adults; including issues around falls, frailty and balance.
Sarah is passionate around supporting older adults to continue to perform activities that are important to them. She is particularly experienced in supporting those who have had a recent hospital stay, being aware of the impact even a short stay can have on confidence and well-being.
Sarah has a wealth of clinical, research and education experience, having published in a variety of journals and shared her work internationally at the World Conference for Physical Therapists. She has worked as part of the PROTECT study (hosted by King’s College London and University of Exeter), providing expertise around the benefits of physical activity.
